Legal framework for real estate activities
The Hoguet Act is the legal framework governing a large part of real estate activities in France.
The Hoguet Act is Law No. 70-9 of 2 January 1970, which, together with its implementing decree No. 72-678 of 20/07/1972, forms the legal framework: it regulates the conditions for carrying out activities relating to transactions involving buildings and businesses.
The so-called “Hoguet” Act regulates real estate activity in France and governs certain real estate professions.
